This is a very good plan by hololive. I hope they will erase soon the old servers.

Soon all Fauna's efforts, that took 2 years, to leave a mark in the hololive minecraft will be gone.

This might only be a bait thread but management does seem to want to constantly switch to new Minecraft servers so they can memory hole the talents that left Hololive.

its really more like they just want to try and milk the game as much as they can. forcing a reset does that though you get people like keala who already has diamond armor and will probably just have nearly everything else in the next 2 days making the reset kind of pointless other then getting rid of builds

But they leave the old servers still available. The old HoloEN server with the Bunkeroni and Ame's long ass minecart routes are still there. Just like Fauna's world tree will still be there.

I think it's a mix of

A) A fresh server gets people interested in streaming the game again (outside of the occasional 'new gen tour' streams and Fauna's world tree streams Minecraft streams using that server had been rare for a while, most of the ones I saw were using custom servers with special rules like one block and the special event streams rather than just playing the vanilla game.)
B) It's presumably much more difficult (if it's even possible at all) to move an existing server up to a newer version/plug in more mods without breaking existing builds so starting fresh makes more sense.

its usualy not that hard to update servers it just makes ugly looking borders at the point where new chunks meet old chunks, as for plugins yeah those can break but those are general pretty separate from everything else and can be added modified and removed on a whim without much if any damage.

Ame's Spirited Away tunnel and Inuyasha well will be missed. Minecraft is not the same in EN without Fauna.

The days of summer and sports festivals are over. EN has also no interest in Minecraft anymore. No one just hangs out there on the regular and does Zatsus/ drop-ins anymore. No amount of server resets will change that.
