So why can't a male vtuber be this? I don't get it. I imagine people /here/ like anime, yet they never wanted an anime friend growing up? Vtubers have been great for that personally, and I've felt a much greater connection to a lot of male vtubers than the let's players and no cam streamers I used to watch for that very reason. If it's seriously just a romantic/sexual thing for so many people, that's honestly kind of sad and incredibly limiting of the medium.
