They had real talent and worked their way up over the course of years in a space where everyone else is also talented. They didn't spawn in and demand to have the popularity others before them did simply for existing. Shitty artists and shitty singers are everywhere and I don't listen to them, just as I don't watch the homos because they are, matter of factly, shit.
It's so much easier to blame it on a nebulous unicorn cabal because it absolves the homos of all responsibility. If there was a single genuinely talented homo that respected Hololive and its fans they would get watched, but the process of becoming a male vtuber appears to self-select for people who don't have those qualities.
