>>9543343To be fair, Kano's chat is rather well behaved. It can be a bit silly at times, but I guess it has to do with the atmosphere of the stream being relatively light-hearted.
Chat speaks mostly about what's happening on screen or talks directly to Kano and jokes around some viewer memes that Kano is aware of (like her ongoing conflict with the Llamas in Minecraft). Kano does run the chat through some translator tool and can get what the chat is saying - as well as typing when Kano feels we're not getting something or wants to answer the chat directly.
Even with the language barrier, Kano has been able to:
- Have viewer participation streams;
- Zatsudan streams;
- Troubleshoot stream issues;
- Has discussed about buying a new pc, figured what specs she would need/want out and and where to buy it with chat (the last part with the help of japanese-speaking viewers);
- Has managed to set up line smoothing on Clip Studio Paint;
- Has managed to properly set noise-filters up with the help of chat.
It helps that the chat is not made of absolute morons. With the current Pokémon streams, for example, the viewers had enough awareness to go to Bulbapedia and copy-paste the Japanese names of Pokémon so Kano could know which Pokémon they were talking about.
