The rest of the company is a fucking disaster. Especially the patent division and PR.
The netcode is complete dogshit and their console tech is always either years behind its competition, or so ridiculously expensive that it ends up becoming a financial nightmare because no developer could possibly work with it.
They constantly understock and their products are always in short supply. They destroy any fan attempts to promote or advertise their games. Their legal team is famous for it's completely baffling and malicious attacks on the most absurd shit.
For example, the Paper Mario series was completely fucked over because the devs weren't allowed to create any new characters, hence sticker star and color splash becoming so underwhelming.
They've mismanaged and shuttered so many in-house studios that it's amazing that any games get developed at all due to the dogshit communication between all the different legal teams with their fucking fax machines and old japanese business man bullshit.
Nintendo is still successful and I like them to an extent, but they are FAR from competent.
