NijiEN at first debuted to copy HoloEN. Was basically like HoloEN but with more edgy jokes. I actually think it was superior to HoloEN at this period in time in terms of entertainment, but in terms of viewers it was about 1/5. It only lasted 6 months before they debuted males.
The males caused them to lift off like a rocketship. They were getting 10k streams, and 60k on big collabs. Mostly women viewers from the Kpop fandom.
At this period in time, they were getting about 1/2 the viewers of HoloEN, but the donation money they were getting put them above HoloJP even. At this period in time they were so valuable they accounted for 1/3 of Anycolor's entire revenue, despite being only 20 people.
But what happened next can only be called one of the most remarkable declines in history. Over the course of a few years they sabotaged themselves in every conceivable way, their numbers plunged by 85%, then 90%. Now those same males who got 10k streams are getting under 1k. The girls who were once getting 2k-3k are now getting 200-300 and begging for money.
It's so bad, some people anticipate the branch will get folded soon.
