if rushia was in, the pressure would be on the talent how they acknowledge or commented on rushia in game, the tone they use or whether they even acknowledge her at all could all turn into pointless drama, etc etc
it wouldnt have even been optional because the character system in this game is gacha, so there's a real chance you're trying to roll marine or pekora and instead you get rushia and you have to comment on it in some way, feign excitement or be unusually quiet or whatnot
leaving rushia out was for the best and she's not completely out anyway, sometimes she shows up on the stage 2 tv and that's probably a good enough cameo already
