Two other things helped carry the song with normies
1) (the most important) this song taps in the same sentiment as “Useewa” by Ado, the rebellious “I won’t abide and won’t comply” adolescent sentiment.
2) the “mixed reality” helped selling the MV and get the foot in the door to at least have people watch it once
