Learning is a two way street, you need to be receptive to the information and the information has to be presented in a way that your current skill level can digest it. Anyone can learn anything, even the mentally retarded, as long as they put the effort.
Its why you can have a stupid kid graduate highschool and reach college+graduate but that kid that was kind of smart but never wanted to learn (they lacked the proper motivation)its now smoking pot and working a dead end job.
