Believe it or not it's more common than you think when you draw hands and tunnel vision or get distracted by something else you might've forgot or are unsatisfied with. I did it a few times doing doodles for art class. The thought process went like:

What I have not done is release any work without quadruple checking it for silly mistakes like this.
I've rotated, flipped the canvas, I've added filter layers to check the colors should be where they are supposed to be, that there's no bleed through, that there's no color on transparent spaces and so on.
The hand being so visible like this, as in being a major part of the art, it is hard to defend as a casual accident. It could still be, but it's very fucking hard man.

Rather, it looks like a classic case of accidentally adding an extra finger because you’re too tired to think.
(“Why?” Well, when generative networks mess up limbs they tend to blend them into each other or turn them into structureless jellybeans with odd shading. AI’s base point is blur and noise: the worse it does, the closer whatever it is render gets to that root.)

It's too neatly aligned for it to be generic AI slop, but with a decent genner it could be AI too so that's not exactly a good point.
The whole "le hands" maymay hasn't been relevant for 2 solid fucking years already outside of shit-tier genners that don't know how to set things up or use online services but it's always funny seeing it still be used today because it's the only argument they have - an outdated one.
