>>9638187>Literally everyone uses Youtube, for music, for tutorials, for research, for funny short videos.Yeah but the majority people doing that aren't even interested in vtubers much less know they exist, they're completely irrelevant, again if I'm on youtube to learn how to tie a tie why would be interested in a video game streamer?
>But the almost-complete majority of the people who visit Twitch are there because they already have a good idea of what they want to watch - either a particular game or a particular streamer. On Twitch you are advertising to a precaptured audience for which you have to either outcompete or settle for being second fiddle to whatever they came to watch in the first place, on Youtube you have access to the loosely engaged. Where are the equivalent of the casual anime OST/clip watchers on twitch, who can get pulled into vtubers because their covers are the next on the list?Ok so here you kinda make this strange fallacy of implying people twitch come for one specific content creator but somehow this doesn't also happen on YouTube because....?
We simply know this isn't true because dozens of smaller streamers are building their own communities, I've personally seen chuubas go from 2views to having hundreds of CCV
I also think twitch's recommendation is much better at spotlighting small streamers than youtube's is
>Because of the topic-centric nature of Twitch, if the holos were actually good at games there might be a point - Selen, for example, would probably do much better. But they aren't.This plainly just not true if you ever checked twitch the majority of popular streamers (I.E 1K viewer CCV) chuubas are straight dogshit at most games even non-chuubas as well the parasocial nature of streaming means more people are interested in a streamers personality than they are their skill
To continue your example Selen would probably be more popular because the recommendation system and features like hosting and raiding would do a fair better job a letting people she exist than any amount of niji ad money could do
Of course none this matters and is entirely irrelevant when it comes to holos since the brand alone gives them free viewers, but it's very clearly obvious why most indies flock to twitch instead of youtube and why Nabi's choice makes sense
