The only surprising thing here is Gura beating the anniversary streams, and to a certain extent Pekora almost taking the 1st spot just by playing a random kusoge and sucking at it. Today was pretty insane overall though, those are numbers we don't see very often.

Why is Playboard so bad when it comes to give average stream viewers? It shows Pekora and Gura being very close in terms of average viewers but Pekora is clearly reaching a lot more than Gura. Am I in the wrong or isn't there any actual way of getting accurate averages?

What has confused me here, is that it’s pretty clear how these two points don’t go together at all:

1. It’s not fair for Holo fans to compare anything to NijiEN. HoloEN2 is doing too good to compare to NijiEN, as they consistently make 20k viewer streams.
2. HoloEN2 is doing so poorly and still on their debut buff, while NijiEN is still growing. NijiEN is the future for the Western market. EN2 cannot even pull 10k viewers as often anymore.

I can only speak for Pomu since she's the only one I watch. Finana is probably a bit better growth while elira is worse.

Looking at Pomu's numbers in her first two weeks with debut buff

>(5/14 - 5/29) # Streams: 13/ Average: 2004 / Median: 2027

Compared to the next two weeks with no more debut buff

As you can see thanks to your numbers, August Pomu after dropping a bit is at her debut week power. This is a pretty good sign of growth. The steady viewer numbers have replaced the tourists. The drop in august can probably just be explained by the amount of overlap with Niji gen2.

Speaking of which, Niji Gen2 isn't really worth discussing yet because their july numbers are essentially their first two week debut buff since Obysidia debuted right in the middle of July.
Comparing the first 2 weeks with the following 4 weeks is always going to look grim especially since Lazulight has built up a decent following giving Ngen2 has a bigger debut buff than what lazu got.

IMO it heavily depends on the order of the reveals and the exact theme.
If its something truly amazing and Gura goes last, she could easily get 120k+, maybe more. This is the 2nd costume, so it doesn't have QUITE as big of a buff as '1st costume' does.
