Cover isn't keen to do stealth suspensions. If Altare's absence was because of adverse disciplinary action, they would have published a notice saying so (and it almost certainly would not have been longer than two weeks) even if that notice didn't say why management bonked him. Also Cover could not announce the reason for their hiatus at the time, because Cover would have violated their own NDA by doing so.
Also also, they genuinely graduated. They're listed on the Holopro alumni page and their public vods are still up (albeit with comments turned off because of too many comments about Lando Norris and orcs)
