This moment isn't correlated with anything. If you look at the boom in vtubers/Hololive, it happened several months after this. Miko was also a mid card at the time, she didn't become a top talent until like 2022.

Vtubers would have still found popularity, but probably not through the Miko vector. Hololive would have still eventually drawn attention from someone else's yab like maybe Matsuri's obscene stories from middle school.

Miko's popularity heavily is tied to this moment though. She was not doing well at generic idol stuff and then they "let" her play video games and this occurred, and the massive contrast of a Japanese virtual idol talking like a gangster caused a locus of interest to form around Miko.

That clip had very little to do with Hololive's success. That can be attributed to HoloEN's debut. Gura got a million subscribers in 40 days so clearly there was an explosion of interest after EN's debut. The Miko clip drove maybe 1% of traffic to hololive
