The more this virus mutates, the worse it is going to get, which is usually not what happens with viruses. But this one in particular, because it enters through an important pathway, is only going to get worse as it humanizes. Sadly we are already seeing this now, there's 3 significant strains that are more adapted to ACE2 and all of them grow quicker than the vaccinated immune system can deal with, leading to that spread. If it were still the strains from last year, we'd be sorted. In the developed world that is.
We're only at the beginning of this shitfest.
If society finally wakes the fuck up and realizes it ain't going away any time soon, we can finally get shit done properly and minimize spread. Society at large isn't setup to shoulder pandemics. We don't have the production capability to live through them properly. That's going to have to multiply 10 fold to sustain society normally until a cure is found.
