>>96812694It’s a really bittersweet situation. Shion has always been someone who struggled with motivation, health, and self-doubt, so it’s not surprising that she’s looking for something different in her life. It’s sad to see her go, but if she feels this is the right step for her, then all we can do is support her and hope she finds fulfillment.
As for Cover, they have definitely made vtubing into a massive industry, but the societal perception of it as a "real job" is still a struggle. It’s not just on Cover, though—it’s a broader cultural issue where unconventional jobs (like content creation) are still looked down upon. That being said, Cover could probably do more to offer long-term career stability, post-vtubing support, and a clearer path for their talents beyond just streaming.
Shion being unable to take pride in her career as a vtuber is heartbreaking, especially considering how much she has given to it. But at the end of the day, if she finds something that makes her happy, then she’s making the right choice. Wishing her all the best.
