>>97036712>I see this repeated a lot, but I've never seen a single piece of evidence showing them not being profitable. Their merch sells out nearly instantly and even the physical meet and greet tickets at events sell out in minutes. They cant hold a Expo on their own merit. They cant build a 20 million dollar studio on their own merit.
The merch sells out because they know how much they can sell and they produce with that in mind, or else they will lose money.
I didnt say they arnt making a profit, I said the profit they are making simply cant land them the same opportunities as holos.
>They're nowhere near the girls, but they definitely make money, as much as you cry about it. It's entirely believable that they fund their own stuff. You want them to have the same stuff as holos without paying the same price holos do. The fact is that everything hololive does has a massive production cost that no one, especially homos with 3 digit viewership can afford.
Whatever Cover gives them is relative to their income, for example Cover didnt give them a new years live but have given them way more floor time/ streamtime in Expo this year. Probably because the homos didnt earn enough to do both and their management thought the Expo will have a bigger return then a 3d live that barely gets 10k viewers and something they cant monetize beyond adsense and superchats.
>PicrelYou can look at the amount of money required, they made 16 million USD in last expo/ fest and assuming 30% of that was profit, it costed them around 11 million USD.
Now you can make your own judgement on how much of this was earned by the homos, or if Cover can afford to "give" them more stuff if this is how much it costs.
You might say that you dont want anything on this level, but do stop to think what you consider acceptable will cost.
