That doesn't qualify as a change of direction. That was just keeping the main body alive by sacrificing one of the many heads. For at least a few more years since she left, holomems still operated more or less how they wanted to. If you watched the clip you would know she talks about things like company growth and how different priorities get shifted around to ensure that the company itself can afford to pay its growing staff.
