Greetings, dears. I am offering Internet communities some ideas from the shadows: Whoever can put them into application better might be able to position their virtual community as number one.
So, 1. Community is about including everyone, no matter what they are an what they dream of. Anything you can think of, include it, make it cool, and this is where it gets profitable, listening to everyone, even negative people's ideas can provide you with a new way to do everything.
2. Everything exists in relationship, nothing exists in a vacuum, and more broadly speaking, everything is connected to everything else either directly or indirectly.
This is important to us because you could say our environment can be used to offer us negative beliefs, or enhance our positive qualities. So, the key to making people happy on the Internet resides in everything. For maximum efficiency, you have to make not only awesome streams, but great places for people to talk, etc. I suggest you make DCIs, Dynamic Community Interfaces. Social media platforms are old.
4channel almost fits the description, though because it is text-only, it can feel very linear, not dynamic - so not realistic, which, relating to people's perception of it as "just the Internet", means the environment, combined with people's perceptions, their inner environment, suggests to them online to see the world as not important. The way to remediate this is to make real interfaces, raw, and where you can do stuff like jobs and so on.
3. Everything is possible with the right methods. Let me give you a few:
3.1.If you wish to reduce the entry barrier to more people making Educational content, create an open-source platform for posting and suggesting edits to others' tutorials, like Github for code, or YouTube for videos.
3.2. Inside the DCI, so that you can have no rules, you can set up a parliament, and, with a prime minister, attempt to have parliaments replace Internet moderation, now with their task being inspiring people rather than mindlessly policing. By the way, influencers should totally make each other into queens, duchesses, and princesses.
3.3. An academy building inside the DCI. if it's going to feel real, I imagine you'd design it in a way where you can have buildings, though please surprise me.
3.4. Encourage International communication and learning. I've written at some point some methods you can use for studying languages in the respective section of this book: files.catbox.moe/mmmz6y.pdf.
3.5. Stop online dating from being stupid and about girlfriends and "boy"friends.
I'd prefer manfriend, but it's not even about that, you can have so many more ways to do relationships.
3.6. Using the Internet's love for quirky things, set up a business inside the DCI where letters from people in prison are read, for people who are interested about life in prison.
There are more ideas, but let's continue to 4. How the Internet can influence the world.
4.1. There are three ways to help poor people: Material things, advice, and community. Let's use what we know about MMORPGs out there, and you can have an inn with a reception counter where you can take on quests, like find a missing cat, and you can go sleep in the rooms upstairs, and eat downstairs, and have a library with practical books that actually help you change your life or learn a new skill.
4.2. Monty Moran, former CEO of Chitpole, made two roles, Restaurant Manager and Restaurant Leader. A restaurant leader gets everyone to have fun, and isn't a bossy dictator that pushes herself. There was a lady once who had an immaculate restaurant but her employees were unhappy, so she didn't get the promotion she wanted, and she started crying, because it mattered so much to her, and she had been pushing everything so hard. That's when Monty asked her what would happen if she told this to her employees and relied on her, and returning a week later, he found she did, and everyone was having fun, and that's when she got the promotion to a restaurant leader. I think it'd be cool to use traditional community-building techniques like selecting 80-100 people for a base community that can first go there from the area to make a restaurant chain that includes the customer and where you can talk or just do anything, like reading books, in the presence of others. As always, I suggest a library with books that can change your life or teach you skills.
4.3 & 4.4 & 4.5. Some more ideas I'll explain quickly given our character limit are making community for young people less gang gang or about being the same online, and more about being yourself, fun, and learning through clubs; Showing teachers some of the new teaching methods and letting them try them out, improving the variety of choice and efficiency of school learning. And finally, the Internet could end child trafficking. You know, "you too can be a hero", you could with little money help with a child's saving. Have fun!
Have fun!
