>>9754172First there would need to be an american corpo that's big and attractive enough for that to pull off, and given how cynical and doomposty >we are about the future and ceiling of vtubing, that's probably the biggest plothole in this scenario.
But sure, let's entertain the thought. Bigger paycheck? Gura doesn't strike one as being primarily motivated by money. More freedom? Yeah, permissions can be a bitch, but is Gura really the type to seriously think "wah wah, I can't play X game on stream, buuuut I wanna play it on stream soooo bad, that I'm willing to quit my company over it!" ? And more importantly, give up her friends over it? Not really. Same goes for everyone, really. Sure, they might bitch and moan a bit over some things, but not really at the level where you might think they actually in danger of quitting over it. Maybe only in a few years time, when they are more jaded and/or set for life, and feel they have gotten everything they could out of Hololive and are ready for a change of pace / new challenge or whatever.
Also, "creative freedom" is a fucking meme. I don't even need to point to Coco, who's just doing the same reddit shit she's been doing before. Gura was an "indie" before, and what did she do with her "creative freedom" back then? Depressed/"drunken" kusoge and karaoke streams, wow yeah so amazing, we really lost out there, I'm sure she can't wait to go back to that directionless shit.
