Even in the west, most know vtubers through Hololive, and much much much more rarely through holostars. You could make a case about Nijisanji being co-ed which extends to Nijisanji EN, but from what I know their presence in the EN side of things has reclined a lot after certain incidents. So the odds of a guy getting into Holostars without having heard of Hololive is virtually zero. Even if you remove the "never have heard of Hololive" criteria, the only males who are interested in being male vtubers are more likely female vtuber fans as well, and that is a very hard thing to separate from your personality unless you happen to be an expert in compartmentalization. Even if they do understand that CGDCT is one of the main selling points of Hololive, the mere fact that there is a possibility of sharing a stage or even just a stream with your oshis will eat away at a fan, and anyone who has enough self control wouldn't be into vtubers in the first place, much less audition for a vtuber agency.
