>>97723641Nobody wants to say it but Cover is already fucked from a financial standpoint just from the fact that they're trying to become exponentially bigger and bigger each year. Every single corpo that's existed aside from when Nijisanji and Cover were new have gone one of only two ways (related to the financial standing anyways);
1. They kept trying to become the next big thing, they couldn't, and folded under the weight. They no longer exist.
2. They realized they could never become the next big thing and started hedging their expectations. They still exist.
I know it's quite easy to say "durr line go up bad we know that", but I'll ask everyone on this board a simple question about Cover's economic practice of expansion;
What the fuck was the studio upgrade for?
No, seriously. It's been discussed at length by members like Towa that even at max capacity 90%, as in ninety percent, as in an overwhelming majority of the studios booths? They just simply don't get used. At all. Because there's not enough tech guys in the company to man more than 10%-ish at a time. The company built an exorbitant amount of booths and a major building expansion to fill the needs of a job that they literally do not, nor will they ever get, the employees for! The only actual change in recordings has come down exclusively to them having a cleaner booth for IRL guests to record in. The entire studio upgrade, the future-proofing by adding in dozens of extra booths? A pure fucking sinkhole. To this day I've yet to see a single reason why the studio expansion actually even had to happen, and it's that kind of shit that worries me the most.
