As for the why, there's a few factors.
>single gender wave>musical talent (all of them are accomplished singers instead of just "some dude we forced to sing")>popularity in JP (obviously)>well timed debuts (right after Nijifes instead of in the middle of some big drama like Denauth)>they're managing to bring in a new EN audience as well of people who had never watched NijiEN before but are drawn in by these guysAll in all, safe to say it's been long enough that nobody cares about the "drama" anymore and NijiEN waves are starting to do well again.
