Mint will never be a Hololive member. She has no JP senpai, she has no genmates, she has no real idol prospects. She is a boring and mediocre streamer twisted by contrarianism and parasocial viewers into a crude mockery of COVER’s perfection.
All the “validation” she gets is two-faced and half-hearted. Behind her back people mock her. Her parents are disgusted and ashamed of her, her “friends” laugh at her pathetic attempts to get Hololive members to acknowledge her behind closed doors.
Hololive fans are utterly repulsed by her. Years of Twitch whores and small corpo grifters have allowed holofans to sniff out frauds with incredible efficiency. Even indies who “pass” get shit viewership, pathetic concerts and no corporate sponsorships (she even had a membership stream where she cried about no companies replying to her). Her desperate attempts at getting more viewers by playing games like HoloCure and FOTM slop are a dead giveaway. And even if she does pull a company sponsorship, whatever attention and money they give her will be nothing compared to what they'd give a Hololive girl.
She will never be happy. She wrenches out a fake smile every single morning and tells herself it’s going to be OK, but deep inside she feels the depression creeping up like a weed, ready to crush her under the unbearable weight.
Eventually it’ll be too much to bear - she’ll buy a rope, tie a noose, put it around her neck, and plunge into the cold abyss. Her parents will find her, heartbroken but relieved that they no longer have to live with the unbearable shame and disappointment. They’ll bury her with a headstone marked with her birth name, and every passerby for the rest of eternity will know that nobody who mattered is buried there. Her body will decay and go back to the dust, and all that will remain of her legacy is a skeleton that is unmistakably one of a Hololive reject.
This is her fate. This is what she chose. There is no turning back.
