>>98099623NTA but that's just the nature of the game. I think Lumi knows full well what kind of things happen to vtuber fans, and even though she doesn't talk about it I'm certain she's been on the receiving end of schizo maros just like every other vtuber. If she's still going after this many years then she's probably made some kind of peace with the fact. Lumi also seems to sincerely want to help her chat be better mentally and socially, but she's not a therapist and vtubing isn't 1-on-1 interaction so it's mostly dreams and good vibes more than anything else.
>>98098717Not being able to cope when other people lie is a little autistic. I'm not saying you're wrong for wanting to stand by your values, but to think that a vtuber is any different from any another person IRL in terms of how authentic they are is folly. You can go through life constantly getting angry at everybody around you and make yourself and everybody else miserable, or hold your ground and only accept "genuine" people into your life and end up isolated and alone, or you accept that most people aren't perfect.
I feel like the art of compromise is being lost. Human beings have to compromise and find strategies for peaceful cohabitation with the rest of their local tribe, especially when it comes to ignoring imperfections in others. Modernity keeps trying to destroy that "local tribe", and people online are more apt to just throw everybody else away at the first sign of the smallest flaw.
Look at this conversation. We're talking about someone's waist being thinner than her virtual avatar and treating it as a moral dilemma. How petty and bullshit is that?
