>>97956381> Why does this legitimately feel worse than the Kronii arc? This is gonna be a bit long, tl;dr at the end.
The arcs of both Mori and Kronii came about because of ignorance about what their audience wanted out of them.
Mori did not understand that lying to your audience is taboo in this industry and so had an escalated series of meltdowns culminating in the Lean arc.
Kronii was the same, did not understand what her audience wanted, but likely got bad advice from someone behind the scenes leading up the the corporate protection tweet.
Both of them have learned that the homos were not worth the time that they put into collabing with them, and after having several irl meetings with the other EN girls, they would naturally feel more inclined to collab with the other girls rather than homos who they didn't even know.
In both instances however, the chuubas' love for their fanbase was never in question.
Kronii defended her fans from dramamongers, and Mori - over time - learned how to value her fans as well.
Shiori.. her case is a little different.
Because this is what she wanted from the start. But she was too scared to commit to it.
Actual, unironic case of the Invisible Gun in play here.
Shiori is an oldfag, and quite consistently /here/. Remember her "disclaimer" during debut? She most certainly saw all the shitposts surrounding it, which is likely why she felt scared to commit to doing such collabs.
She had just got into Hololive after all, she didn't want to rock the boat.
The whole "Golden Gen" narrative and Advent all being on the same page was probably comfortable for her as well.
She was always probing the water though, occasionally mentioning homos, replying to them, basically testing the water to see her chat's reaction.
Her chat and twitter were clean. And despite her general and /#/ occasionally having some reactions, they were all dismissed as shitposters. Because fans trusted their oshi's old behavior, and didn't think this was her carefully asking if they were ok with this shit.
But it's very hard to commit to something that drastic, especially you're comfortable where you are.. and yet you can't help but feel like you're lying to your audience every day.
And then fes happened. As with almost all fes'es, every holo started getting a minuscule incline.
This would have triggered a massive complex within Shiori, because what she was presenting was not who she truly was.
She's a nice girl, so she probably felt very guilty about leading her audience on for such a long time. It feels malicious to those that she shut out, but it's quite obvious that she just didn't want to keep pulling the strings of her current audience any longer.
And so it's likely that there was some behind the scenes talks, leading up to the decision that the company would "take care" of her channel, audience, criticism etc. during this troubling time, and and she only needs to focus on doing the collabs.
EN Management naturally is filled with homobeggars and fujos, and naturally they took this as an opportunity to "shit on unicorns" rather than helping Shiori through a troubling time.
The shutting out of critical tweets, blocking of long time members, liking of "real fan" type tweets, not blocking dino's thumbnail, all feel like something that HoloEN management would do rather than Shiori herself.
So, instead of a smooth transition where she talked about this in advance, about how she truly felt about wanting to do certain collabs and just being honest with her audience and having a clean break with those that wouldn't want to stay, what she got was this absolute clusterfuck of a transition where it feels like she just did a 180 out of nowhere.
And now it's too late to do member streams heart-to-hearts. Too late to explain her reasons. Perhaps management convinced her that saying anything more would just add to the drama.
Does she still hold some amount of regret for this jarring transition? Does she care for all the fans she has thrown to the wolves? Only time will tell.
tl;dr
> Mori and Kronii arcs felt like ignorance> Shiori is deliberate. She wanted to do this since debut, but got scared after debut backlash (unironic invisible gun).> Likely was comfortable for some time, but kept testing the waters with homo replies, mentions etc.> As she inclined she felt like she was lying to her audience, culminating in making a decision when her fes incline started.> Likely focussed fully on the collabs and the transition and left social media cleanup to management, resulting in all the idiotic likes, uncharacteristic deleting of comments, shadowbans etc.> Future uncertain, she likely feels regret about how it played out, but whether she feels responsible enough to address it at this point remains uncertain.
