>>98017723It's kind of bad. Gameplay is okay because it's a AAA game and AC has always had at least decent combat (the last few games are "Souls-like" but fail to capture what makes that fun). Ubi will always tie in lame political bullshit to things, earliest examples really starting in AC Unity and everything since.
The whole Yasuke thing is annoying because it's obvious what they were trying to do when they could've just had him as a side character at most in any of the games prior.
The thing is, it's not a total trainwreck otherwise Ubisoft would be dead in the water. The other thing is, they really needed this to be a huge hit to save themselves which it isn't that either.
The last thing is that Assassin's Creed fans have been wanting some kind of ninja storyline since 2010 and not only is it too late but we also have games like Ghosts of Tsushima and Sekiro that are way better than modern Ubislop titles.
