>>98053776>holos are poor, actuallyGoing to copy paste this:
I'm really sick of seeing threads like this. They are all making hundreds of thousands of dollars per year.
If they get $250k in superchats $75k goes to google, $87.5k goes to Cover and then $87.5k goes to the talent.
If they have 5000 members, (which is on the low end, Miko has over 40,000 members for example), then a rough estimate is 5000*5*12*0.35 = $105k that goes to the talent per year in memberships.
Adsense is much harder to calculate, and I still don't know a good way to estimate it, but considering that many big youtubers make tens of thousands of dollars per month on videos that are less viewed and have lower watch hours than many hololive talents, they are all most likely making hundreds of thousands of dollars per year per channel on ads.
We know that they receive around 50% of the sales for merch that they are involved in making, like birthday sets.
There are also large sponsorships, like Gura's sushiro collab, which made over $2.1 million. Her cut of that is unknown, but even a small cut would be multiple hundreds of thousands of dollars.
We know that all hololive talents make hundreds of thousands of dollars per year because the investor reports outlines talent remuneration which totals in multiple millions of dollars.
When a talent like Bae says they are "in the red", they are often talking about one particular MV or concert that hasn't made its money back. People like Moona and Kobo are extremely manipulative and don't mention any of this. All holos receive a small salary, and Moona talking about that salary as if that is all she gets is preposterous and misleading.
This isn't even something you have to guess, it's in financial reports

With 92 active hololive-affiliated talents, that's 38k USD per month on average (456k USD/year). In reality, talent pay looks more like a skewed bell curve, so some talents are paid much lower than this while others are paid much higher.
Every single hololive talent's channel is in the top 1% of 1% of monetized channels. You are an absolute fucking retard if you don't think they are generating huge amounts of money with ads, superchats, and memberships.
Three years ago, one of NijiEN girls, Millie, accidentally showed her youtube dashboard and it said she was getting $10k that month and that was after Google took its cut. (In April 2022, yen was 125 to a dollar) If some unpopular NijiEN could make that much with her tiny channel, then every hololive talent is easily clearing double or triple that every single month.
