I'd believe it based on the OP picture alone: the large details of the anatomy and draping (cloth folds) are amazing, yet smaller features like the hands, hair, and folds' details are comparatively much worse.
Someone that understands how to sketch the big lines of something very well should have no problem detailing it.

You can instantly tell if someone is tracing because they will randomly have the ability to draw certain areas of character but not others on the same image. which is just not how it works.

I do have an issue with people passing AI as their own art (don't really care if they make it clear it's AI like they do on pixiv) but I've seen multiple occasions recently where some artist has been digpiled on xitter for using AI only to then prove they didn't at all. The ones who originally accuse them rarely put out a retraction and/or apologise and then thst artist is potentially fucked in the future. So until I see evidence thst AI has been used I'm siding with the accused artists from now on.

I agree but if the people witchhunting believed this they wouldn't bother witchhunting. The reason they feel the need to gang up on AI "artists" is because they do think it's good enough and are scared of losing relevancy for that low quality slop.
