>>98115600>>98134324>>98120501I find it so baffling that politically obsessed culture warriors are so politically illiterate that they will uncritically swallow anything when it fits their narrative.
This seems to happen a lot with JP stuff in particular. But the govt has an incentive to decry Assasin's Creed because it's hugely unpopular and a story about evil westerners does actually serve as a nice distraction from its own problems. Doubly so if the game also helps justify their current legislative agenda - i.e. punitive sentencing for vandalism.
Being even a tiny bit critical for a second. It's hugely unlikely any gaijins ruining heritage sites were inspired by Assassin's Creed because the game only just came out, what did they play it for 30 mins then hop on a plane? Never mind that it's a rump IP that's mostly out of the public eye.
But because people NEED the game to be a political shibboleth they can use to long spear their opponents, this incongruity has to be swallowed as an objective fact.
>>98120735>indie creative worksnigga, it's a restriction on buying porn, say it. And it doesn't even effect the Japanese, since they just use domestic cards i.e. JCB. The market being locked out is hyper niche and small, since most of the effected works are hardcore untranslated doujins/VNs.
Never mind that it's splash damage from card issuers tightening the belt on all porn because of repeated failures by host (globally) sites to deal with CP.
