>>98136339I don't think it's so much a blast of heat as it is sheer force. Force enough that the entire atmosphere and surface of the planet is blown away reveals the molten rock underneath the crust while smaller chunks are blown clean off the planet itself
That being said I don't think that would do anything? The whole point of that kind of thing happening is typically from displaced air or explosive force. There is no air to displace in space, and I don't know if that force would be transferred in a shockwave, though from that close up I could be wrong.
