It's been a great hobby with a great community. Lots of love and creativity. Oshis have saved many of their fans' mental health, if not their entire souls. But perhaps it wasn't meant to last.

Vtubing has always taken its power from the dark side of escapism. Parasocialism. Relying on social outcasts. Illusions and dreams of hope. But it's a lie. All idol culture is founded in lies. Happy lies, but unsustainable ones.

Our oshis are not our friends, not our lovers, let alone our angels and saviors. They're just trying to make ends meet in a life separate from ours. We still have our lives to live and we can't do it slaved to this machine - which itself is not long to last.

So, I bid you to consider a final farewell to this hobby. You are all worthy of more in life than worship of some performer who will never know truly know you. Your potential as a human being is immense and the time has come to fulfill your destiny. The future is bright and the dawn is here. Seize the day and don't ever look back. You won't regret it.
