>>9845998Also, I set myself a goal (a few weeks back) that I would upload one subtitled clip a day, of my own stream, to YT, twitter, and tiktok; for ten days. I didn't have enough raw clips, so I re-watched the vods to get enough moments. Sure, the extra stuff isn't as good, but it's still getting similar levels of engagement. I'm 30, m*le, British - my sense of humour doesn't line up with the zoomer crowd, so I just throw shit at the wall and see what sticks. So far, all of it, but only a bit.
FORCING myself to make clips meant I leaned into the joke. So when I fatfingered myself into a fire and died, I could have just said "whoops, guess I'm an autist", but I leaned into it, "look, I'm wearing leather pants, and nothing else. I tried to get warm but got overexcited and I'm clumsy". It wasn't really funny, to be honest, but it kept chat moving. I since have made it a habit to 'accidentally' set myself on fire in as many games as possible, and commed artwork of my avatar accidentally setting themselves on fire. I now have chat warning me when there's fire on screen, especially when chat's otherwise dead.
Smaller chuubas don't seem to want to have records of them being autists. I clipped someone yesterday playing Genshin saying "We're up here so we're out of range, because we're low on health, so we can snipe without getting shoOH SHIT". And they deleted it.
It was a PERFECT clip - it looked like it was staged, the timing was so good. And they deleted it. I can only assume because they didn't want a record of them not understanding distance (they swear a lot, in other clips, so it's not that)
