Both the performer and the viewer are participants in this engagement, and it is done for the benefit of both parties. It should only continue so long as the active parties benefit in the way they want.

We use this to express or deal with the darker or damaged sides of ourselves in a controlled, consensual way. It should never be used as a justification to take harmful action against another person. Just because someone likes a certain act in a fantasy setting doesn't mean they want it done to them irl.

There is a line only the performer can decide where it lies, but it must be made soberly with their wellbeing in mind. All practice should be done understanding the consequences with consideration for the well-being of the talent in the present and future.
