Why does everyone act like they always need the latest shiniest new GPU? You genuinely don't. A 10 series Nvidia GPU is pushing it, but you'll be fine with even a 20 series GPU, and a 30 series GPU is already great. Unless you're doing machine learning or cryptomining or doing math/science/computer science research counting large swathes of big numbers in big batches, you don't need the absolute best GPUs. If you're just playing video games or rendering 3D models or video editing software, a mid-range GPU is enough.

What Cover should do is have some sort of program that suggests/provides a STREAM PC for the girls, with a dedicated cpature card and the girls provide their own PC to game on.

One advantage of this is easy tech support since Cover can now make a single "certified" stream pc setup that they're sure will be able to run whatever OBS/Holo/2D/3D programs they need to do their streams and whatever the girls are playing, that just goes in as a 1080p/2k/4k input through the capture card. And part of the preparation for new holos is training in the standardized stream system.

Wouldn't it be the opposite? If the girls had standardized hardware then Cover can do all the testing at their HQ to make sure it's compatible with everything and easily fix any issues. They could even install remote access software so their tech guys can simply log in to the talents PC and fix any issues remotely since any hardware incompatibilities are ruled out.

Is that not possible or practical? I understand having a separate computer/laptop purely for OBS, your model, streamdeck, and chat and having only the actual game on your main computer helps lessen the load on the main computer, but frankly not only does that sound like a pain in the ass but also way more expensive than just having one computer.

Yeah but Irys is a retard that put zero research into this topic.
She can obviously wait a few months to finally buy her already overpriced heater for a huge markup, or she can get a perfectly workable card now and upgrade again in a few years which is not only cheaper but she will have a better card down the line.
It absolutely baffles me when people make up ridiculous arguments like "but she also streams the game so she needs the best of the best card to do so", she streams in 1920x1080, most modern cards can play any AAA slop at 4k without issue and that is twice the strain.

I think it stems from the VRAM issues we have today, in 2020 nobody would mind having only 8GB of VRAM but now even having 16GB feels girigiri. She already stated that she wants something that would pull her through the next 3-4 years just fine and a 4090 will do that just fine.
