>>98495006No idea, to check the split audience thing I'd need to combine all their SCs from back then, but also after members were introduced and compare to total earning snow. Even without doing all that it feels like the income has fallen off.
Due to pandering to a very narrow audience with an extremely rabid gatekeeping subsector it's impossible to branch out and try to attract new audiences. They'd need to collab with
different regular streamers for that and the payoff isn't guaranteed while chimpouts from unicorns are. Not sure if it's worth it.
Another way is to play tons of different games, but holo managers don't seem to try to get perms and holos themselves aren't interested in trying out new stuff. It's all minecraft, AAA gigaslop, FOTMslop and nintoddler games. Playing different stuff doesn't mean they'd get new audience for sure, but it's better to try than not imo. Vesper was on the right path of trying autistic games, but he left and no one wants to pick up where he left off. There's so much stuff out there to try. Old stalker games, noita, fear and hunger, LISA, RTS games like homeworld, some neater FPS shooters like Far Cry 3 (newer far cry games are garbage, there's nothing to react to either to attract people) or Crysis (Postal would be funny af, but it's too "politically incorrect"). It's like neither they nor the managers want to really try out something different. Sometimes they try out different games, but it's rare and not enough.
Last thing which current audience wouldn't like is gacha. Gacha pull streams bring in tons of money and those games have a ginormous audience, but current fanbase have conditioned themselves to disliking it, because hologlobal told them to and they are trying to fit in, and holos can't play gacha stuff anyway due to potential zhang chimpout. I'd bet money on holo managers sabotaging Coco purely because of that alone, holos were collabing with azur lane etc and gacha market is the closest to holos, the crossovers etc would bring insane sponsor and donation money. That ship has sailed long ago.
