No ponyposting outside of /mlp/ really is an outdated rule. It's not 2012 anymore and the stuff isn't nearly as cancerous as it was at its peak. I don't even watch or like the show but some vtubers did and occasionally bring it up and I've gotten banned before for forgetting this rule when they would show off fanart or whatever.

There's quite a few good episodes past season 3, but the general quality got worse with 3 onwards and really took a slapping with season 6.
I'm still mad they dedicated an entire Apple parents episode to a Romeo and Juliet plot instead of giving us interactions with characters that mattered, like AJ, Big Mac, and Applebloom directly.

I’ve seen the 3D movies (and liked it)but not the newer shows just because the designs suck for new characters and the quality is noticeably bad after seeing the movie. Didn’t like the rugpull on previous canon events either, so that made me really hate it. The NEW rumored show for 2026/2027 I may give a chance, because the concepts look good and the art style is better.

/mlp/ makes its own content now. 15 years of self-referential circlejerk injokes coupled with the intense evolutionary pressure of having next to no (good) official material for around half a decade has distilled horsefucker autism to such a point that the board has become something of a self-contained ecosystem, even within the context of 4chan at large. A good example would be Mare Fair, a pony convention started by /mlp/ 2 years ago, and currently one of the largest of its kind. I still don't know how they pulled it off.
