It's no exaggeration that female vtubers are primarily aimed at a male audience and unlike the skin pig irl female streamers they don't use the platforms as basically promo sites for an OF account (corpo product hocking not withstanding), but plenty of women can enjoy them, in fact many vtubers are often impressed/amazed when they look at their statistics and see how many female viewers (or freaks saying their women) they actually have.
On the other hand, I don't think I've ever seen a male streamer UNIRONICALLY using vtuber tech who wasn't a blatant stereotypical faggot, or unthreatening twink designed to appeal exclusively to women, no normal guy wants to see some borderline fairy prancing about like he farts pixie dust hanging out with their favorite animu girl.
So when a vtuber hang out with these viewership blackholes it hurts their numbers, cause unless the viewers are the biggest of diehard fans a lot are gonna tune out once one of those effeminate cuntboy embarassment's shows up on screen.
