In fact wearing a mask is universal common sense in the East Asian countries, because they are not dumbasses who think they have the freedom to infect others.
Regarding the vaccines, Japan is more cautious due to what happened in the past with MMR, but like 98 other countries that scrutinized the vaccines, their experts eventually found them satisfactory for use. And sane people trust the collective wisdom of all those countries and experts, instead of pretending to be researchers (while actually just picking which other dumbasses to believe online).
