>>98864472From an objective perspective, flags for /vt/ don't really make much sense. Boards that do have flags - /pol/, /int/, & /bant/ all have them because the flag is on-topic for the posts that happen there. Technically a posters country is irrelevant when it comes to vtubers so the flag shouldn't be necessary.
Likewise with post IDs, /biz/ has them because, on a board about finance, some level of identification is relevant to the discussion.
In an ideal world /vt/ wouldn't need post IDs because it wouldn't be infested with falseflagging samefags who care more about pushing narratives and sowing chaos than actually talking about vtubers.
In essence, the real problem we face on /vt/ is the lack of, or potentially hostile, moderation. It's hard to talk about vtubers when the catalog is constantly flooded with shit, generals can be sanctuaries but dedicated schizos are allowed to roam free and will treat them as personal playgrounds. This sad state of affairs has festered for far too long and now manifests into demands for flags and IDs - because if we can't rely on the mods and jannies to do their jobs then the next best thing is giving us the ability to do it for them, flags and IDs will allow us to identify repeat offenders better and even if we can't delete their shitposts we can at least bully them out of the thread.
