If a steak restaurant decided one day to become a vegan restaurant one day without telling its customers at all, you walk in and all of a sudden the menu is listing vegan options, surely it is reasonable for the customer to complain to the waiter or management.
Obviously the business at the end of the day is allowed to do anything it wants including kicking anyone out of the store but I dont think that's a particularly good business decision as word of mouth will spread and the business will likely take a hit to revenue.
I think as long as Shiori is ok with possibly taking a hit to her revenue over time then it doesn't matter though I would say that the drama she brought upon her own fans, even the ones that are ok with the change in content, was ill-advised.
She must have been very unhappy with the content she was putting out or her metrics to do this I think
