Firstly, all games on the Switch and Switch 2 are unaffected; they are currently sold, bought first-party by the talent/management, and shouldn't be hacked. Thus, there isn't reasonable risk. This especially includes literally every single game on virtual console, including Gale of Darkness and Coliseum due to GameCube games being on the Switch 2.
Secondly, if I understand the drama correctly, this was only because of a mew on the previous save. This can be easily avoided by just not showing the saves.
Thirdly, verifying a copy wouldn't be that hard. Sure, it's a pain...if the game is extremely long. The only games that really affects are the Gameboy games and (S)NES games not ported to NSO. Those games are relatively tiny, so it wouldn't be hard to just play them for 2 hours and see that everything is fine, and then go one with their life. Besides, most of the games that the talents would want to play have already been ported to NSO/those are the games they are already playing, so it doesn't matter unless your family name is either Inugami or Abyssgard.
>>99030238That interview/interviewee conflated nuzlockes with the modded ones with Infinite/hacked in rare candies. It mainly seems that Nintendo just wants to avoid videos being misleading, as stated in the private section. A nuzlocke is a valid way of playing.
Also, this isn't going through Nintendo. This is inside Cover Corp.
