My refusal to give appreciable money to Youtube is all that stops me from giving them a few hundred dollars a year or more, outside of buying merch.
That said it sucks because, at least for the one, when she eventually graduates, I have nowhere to follow her after unless she somehow makes a new account and makes it obvious it's her (she likely wouldn't).

A past life is only ever the roommate if they're the type that never made a new persona when becoming a vtuber, which is hard to consider an actual vtuber unless they never made themselves mostly visible in images/streams. Though that's a separate debate depending on your standards (i.e. even a single handcam stream ruins it).
I think this would only apply to a couple of holos. Not sure how common that is for notable vtubers as a whole.
