I'm not even shy, but definitely very awkward, so I went to talk with her to tell her I genuinely had no one I could ask, and for a therapist it was baffling how she couldn't grasp the concept of someone simply never developing social bonds with anyone, then proceeded to scold me for making excuses.
I can at least guess if someone gets to the point of intending suicide, they likely have no one already.
