This is to the detriment of actual fans who want to see Nimi back in Holo collabs!

This isn't just a Hololive thing. It's generally true across the entire industry. I have seen only one exception to this and it was only done because both the company was going to shit where all the talents went indie with their IP 6 months after this collab happened with almost no power left to stop the talent at the company to collab with the graduated person and the person in question who was being collabed with outside of the company had left the company graduated without drama years prior. It was held on the graduated person's new Vtuber persona channel though away from the company in question, but yes, that is still the only exception I know of.

yes it is. the reason is very clear if you have an iq above 1 digit. hololive speciality was hololive ecosytem, allowing ex-holo to collab with holo girl is simply only helping ex-holo while hurting current holo girl. so why would cover do something for those outside of holo system when that action will bring 0 or sometime negative benefit for current holo girl? It's like asking an employer to help/promote an ex-employee.

Cover is a public company that needs to extract money from the girls to fund the boys, Holoearth, and the shareholders. You know when you sign up that you get access to the holobox to promote you and you know when you quit that you're giving up access.
They can still collab on RL accounts but most won't because they know it won't funnel people. Mori tried with kson.

The amount is reasonably below 50%, but the exact amount depends on what each talent negotiated for during their contract renewal. VShojo takes a 0% cut from subs/memberships and donations, so if you subbed to Henya and gave her 10k bits for example VShojo wouldn't get any of it. If you buy some of her merch or watch her do a sponsored stream VShojo would get a cut from the money made from that.

Hololive is like a well payed serfdom run by a feudal lord. They own everything, get to make all the major decisions, keep most of the revenue, have severe punishments for breaking the rules, and if they get angry they can exile the serfs.
