The WCW was more raw, allowed more blood, props, profanity etc. Its downfall was that it was still stuck having to win with mostly liveshows.
The WWF on the other-hand was winning in the broadcasting/money war and also buying out more indies offering a more television friendly format. Yeah people miss the WCW shows (at least the people who could show up), but I don't think anyone could blame all the talent for moving over for more money.
