>>99704290Imagine having to constantly run things through Japanese businessmen who are on a completely different time zone, speak a completely different language, don't understand American culture, and have completely different copyright laws. You have to get perms for every game and song you sing. You have to travel to Japan constantly throughout the year or move there and leave your own country and culture behind. You have to take dancing and singing lessons despite your main attraction being your streams. You have to stay up until 2AM to have meetings because of time differences. Your projects can get cancelled on a whim because some Jap business suit doesn't greenlight your idea. You're going to be pressured to do projects you might not want to be a part of and to do other things you're not really into.
Overall, as much as indie is a shitshow, there's a lot of reasons why you wouldn't want to sign with a Jap corpo. The main thing Holo has is the initial boost in viewers. They have so many restrictions, and bad management, that at a certain point you're limiting yourself if you actually have drive and passion to do something different. Not saying Ame or Gura have this, but I can see why someone would want to quit, especially with their recent Idol tism and questionable choices like sinking so much into HoloEarth
