>>99731744You really can’t compare the two. In GTA RP, they weren’t playing as themselves, they took on completely different characters. There were no personalized appearances or unique special attacks tied to their identities. In ENreco, on the other hand, they were playing as themselves, just in an amnesiac state. Recollection was supposed to tie into their own backstories, and to some extent, it actually did. But the biggest misstep was made with Ina’s lore. It’s frustrating for me personally, because ever since Sana left, Ina hasn’t provided any new lore. So many people were eagerly waiting to see her memories, but the video received mixed reactions. Ina even had to explain herself on stream afterwards, saying that the video shouldn’t be taken as canon.
Even setting that aside, there were major differences between GTA RP and ENreco. In GTA RP, you could freely explore your surroundings, build up your own lore, and even change your job if you wanted to. The Adventure Map in ENreco was extremely limited, you couldn’t build structures except in a few rare locations. There was no way to damage other players, and the "fights" were more like theatrical performances. After barely an hour, some girls started marrying each other out of desperation just to create content. A few of the more creative players tried to do interesting things, but for the majority, it was just boring especially when they were alone, collecting quest items. The actual challenges only happened at the end of each day, and they weren’t balanced at all. According to many viewers, Kiara’s dungeon was the best part, while most of the others felt unfinished. So even the first chapter didn’t really land well.
