I'm not clear on whether Sinder specifically was supposed to be part of this plan, but it should give you an idea of how far their friendships with each other went. They weren't just "work friends".
And it wasn't about Sinder putting her own work below friendships - it was about her considering it part of "her work" to actively work to fuck over her friends' projects and shit talk them, while they were literally and simultaneously in Discord chats and stuff with her talking about being disappointed and heartbroken that their plans with Nano fell through. Bao even showed Sinder and Red preliminary sketches of what she was doing (as a trusting friend might do), and then Red mentioned seeing those sketches in the talk with Nano trying to get her to drop Bao. Keep in mind these people are supposed to be close friends.
And to Sinder and Red, this was "just business", because they were two-faced shitheels who thought the only way for Sinder to succeed was to climb over her friends and then do her best to pull up the ladder behind her as though vtubing is a zero sum game. And this was at a time when Sinder was ALREADY a success by any metric - she had CCVs, sponsors, big merch deals, and Twitch bits coming out her ass.
The fact that anyone can look at the details of this stuff and conclude Sinder is the victim, or ALL of them are just "petty bitches" or whatever, is mind-bending shit. Bao's stream talking about everything was heartbreaking to listen to, and if you haven't watched it - you should, and then maybe you'll also understand why so many people have rallied around her.
