To be honest I've always been skeptical of the "Gura was checked out" narrative. With all holomems, especially the JPs, the streamers stops playing a character after a while and starts being more of themselves. To me, Gura did not really lose steam until mid 2024. It would line up with the decision of a few felliw ENs to leave Hololive.
